On August 13th, 1966, The Beatles returned to Detroit for two shows at Olympia Stadium. DJ Kenny Everett, traveling on the tour for Radio London, filed a report from one of the concerts which captured the start of one concert, including a few seconds (to date rarely booted) of "Rock And Roll Music":

ReplyDeleteThis is part of Kenny's radio special covering the August 66 tour. It's possible he taped more of the concert, but unlikely he would waste much tape on it. He was at every show, and must have realized you couldn't hear any of the music over the screaming. I do have some more snippets from Kenny's Boston report, which I'll post later.
